SHAWNEE, Okla. —
After an up-and-down Bill Tipton Tournament, the Chickasha High School baseball team finished up with a run-rule win in four innings over Shawnee on Saturday.
The Fightin' Chicks advanced to 22-4 with an 11-1 win over the Wolves in Shawnee, and finished the Bill Tipton Tournament with a 3-2 record.
Chickasha scored seven runs in the first inning, after Luke Dixon, Cade Morris and Lane Smith each walked to start the bottom of the first inning.
Brant Haile hit a two-run single, and Blake Burns hit a two-run double. Dixon and Morris each had RBIs in their second at-bats of the inning, and Smith hit a two-run single to score the seventh run.
Chickasha scored two runs in the third inning, including a home run to right field by Morris, and two more runs in the fourth inning to end the game on a walk-off double by Burns.
Chickasha hosts Southeast High School tonight at 5 p.m., as it returns to district play. The Chicks will be in McAlester for the 5A Shootout on Thursday through Saturday this week.
