Chickasha took a win and a loss out of Louisiana on their spring road trip.
Loyola Academy topped the Fightin' Chicks 9-7 on Wednesday of last week, scoring all of their runs in the third inning. It was the first loss suffered by Chickasha this season after a 3-0 start.
Senior Tresjon Davis led the comeback effort with three hits and three RBI.
Chickasha avenged that loss with a 15-6 win over Menard Central in Alexandria, La., on Friday. It was a special occasion for senior Mario Medina who hit his first home run in varsity play, a solo shot to help his team to the win. Senior Cade Morris also had a home run to go with two hits and two RBI.
Sophomore Brooks Bush went all seven innings at the mound, letting up 12 hits and a walk while striking out three.
Davis had two hits and two RBI, and had some extra help from fellow upperclassmen. Derek Sullivan also had two hits, one a double and two RBI.
The Fightin' Chicks ended the trip with an 8-1 win over Henderson High School in East Texas on Saturday.
Chickasha returns home tonight against Duncan at 5 p.m.
