The Chickasha High School boys track and field team placed 24th overall at the 5A state meet, led by high jumper Shaq Oliver, the only scoring participant for either Chickasha team.
Oliver placed fourth in the high jump, posting a mark of 6 feet 4 inches Friday.
State champion Zach Skimbo of McAlester jumped 6 feet 6 inches, as did runner-up Brandon Conrad of Tahlequah. Kendal Curtis placed third, jumping 6 feet 4 inches.
Freshman Kyle McNatt finished seventh in the boys long jump, with a jump of 21 feet 10.75 inches. The winning jump was 23 feet 8.25 inches by Arlando Johnson of Booker T. Washington.
Freshman Hannah Fergason qualified for the finals in the girls 300 meter hurdles, finishing seventh in the preliminaries with a time of 48.19.
Fergason would have finished seventh in the finals, but was disqualified on a technicality.
Chelci Oliver finished 12th in the preliminaries of the girls 100 meter dash, running in 13.06 seconds.
The Lady Chicks 4x100 meter relay team finished 11th in the preliminaries at 51.55 seconds.
The boys 4x100 meter relay team 10th in preliminaries at 44.68 seconds.
The girls 4x200 relay team finished 11th at 1:52.23 in prelims.
The boys 4x200 relay team was also 11th in preliminaries, finishing the race in 1:34.66.
