Chickasha tennis ends regular season with home tournaments

CHICKASHA — The Chickasha High School boys and girls tennis teams finished sixth and fifth, respectively, at the Chickasha Tournaments on Friday and Saturday.

On the girls side, Duncan High School won the tournament, followed by Altus, Norman and Lawton MacArthur.

The Norman High School boys team won Saturday's tourney, followed by Midwest City, Duncan, Eisenhower and Lawton High.

Lupita Maldonado and Chloe Reyes placed third in the girls 1 Doubles bracket. Lizeth Medina and Elizabeth Wilson were fifth in 2 Doubles.

Melody Outhaithavy was sixth in 1 Singles, and Aiyana Fletcher was seventh in 2 Singles.

For the boys, Noel Avila placed fourth in 1 Singles and Tanner Charlson was fifth in 2 Singles.

The Chickasha boys 1 Doubles team of Jonathan Ho and Kyle Woodard finished seventh.

The girls state tournament is this Friday and Saturday, while the boys regional tournament is scheduled for Monday in Oklahoma City at the OKC Tennis Center.
