Showers create messy start for baseball, softball

GRADY COUNTY —

While the Sooners football team had the luxury of moving their practice inside, baseball and softball teams across Grady County were out of luck when torrential rain fell Tuesday morning.

The inclement weather prevented Tuttle Lady Tigers softball from getting their 2013 fast pitch season underway. Their home game against Lindsay was called off by early afternoon with no word on when it might be rescheduled.

The fall season start was also delayed for Amber-Pocasset baseball, as their match-up with Hydro-Eakly  and Chattanooga was called off.

Verden baseball was fortunate enough to move their game against Ft. Cobb to Sterling, where less rain had fallen.
