Lady Chicks basketball in OSSAA top 20


The Chickasha girls basketball team has been placed among the top 20 teams in the OSSAA rankings ahead of starting their sesaon this Thursday.

The Lady Chicks are ranked seventh, just ahead of Del City and behind 2-0 Memorial. Head coach Christy Edelen's team ended last year by toppling top-ranked Shawnee at home and  with a playoff run that took them to the area finals.

The Amber-Pocasset girls, now 2-1, are ranked 18th in the Class 2A poll. Tuttle has the only Grady County boys' team currently in the top 20. They sit in 16th in Class 4A.
