Chicks lose to Lady Lions

— The Chickasha Lady Chicks soccer team is poised to make the playoffs, but securing home field advantage in the first round just got more difficult after Tuesday's loss at Durant.

Chickasha lost the game 2-1, and dropped to 8-2-1 (3-2 in district play) with the loss.

Durant got up on the Chicks early on, and led 1-0 after the first half.

Hannah Elrod tied the game up with Chickasha's only goal on a penalty kick.

Defensive mistakes cost Chickasha in the game, although they stayed in it until the end.

Chickasha has two more games to go to improve its playoff positioning. Friday, the Lady Chicks will go to Lawton MacArthur for a 5:30 p.m.
