Chickasha baseball goes 3-1 over Spring Break

— The Chickasha High School baseball team lost its first game of the season Friday night to the No. 1 team in Louisiana class 2A, but ended its Spring Break trip with a win in Henderson, Texas.

The Fightin’ Chicks lost 5-3 to Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.) in Shreveport on Friday evening, breaking the team’s nine-game winning streak. Chickasha beat Henderson High School 17-10 in Henderson, Texas on Saturday, and is now 10-1 this season.

Chickasha, ranked No. 3 in class 5A, will host No. 1 Carl Albert in the first of two scheduled regular season games between the district rivals. The two teams will play each other again at Carl Albert at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Carl Albert has only lost one game this year, an 11-3 defeat at the hands of No. 1 Dale (2A) on March 14. That is the only game this season the Titans have been held to fewer than eight runs.

First pitch between Chickasha and Carl Albert is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today at Elliott Field.
