Early surge takes Verden past Binger-Oney

(Continued)

VERDEN —

Hannah Roberts did her best to help Verden in the second half. She got a quick seven points with a few well-placed jump shots and a three. Cheyenne Hannah also had seven points, but was plagued by foul trouble after picking up her fourth in the third quarter.

Point guard Alexis Medrano led Verden with 10 points while shooting 6-for-8 from the free throw line. As Binger-Oney’s Wilson cooled off in the second half, it was Sabri Britton’s turn to heat up.
