Chickasha wrestling was narrowly defeated in Duncan duals on Tuesday night as the pre-Christmas season draws to a close.

The Demons won 39-31 on the night, with the Fightin' Chicks just missing out on a few wins and dominating in a few others. Triston Hill and Josh Latham continued their undefeated starts to the season as both seniors won by pin.

Latham took the 220-pound match while Hill succeeded in the 160-pound class. There was also a win for sophomore Lamar Neff, who took his 126-pound bout with a 6-2 decision.

Another highly rated sophomore, Dakota Resendez, also won by pin in the 132-pound class. Bret Stone won the 113-pound class by pin. Unfotunately there were losses for Javier Willets in the 106-pound class, Nick Sales in 138-pound, Dalton Phillips in 145-pound, Dao Zian Lim in 170-pound, and TJ Wicks in 195-pound.

Alex Scallion just lost out in the heavyweight class in a 7-4 decision to end the night.

The junior high team lost by an even slimmer margin, 41-39. Montana Moon, Devon Stephens, Ryder Ramsey, Ethan Calhoun, Koby Powell and Trevor Thomas all came away with victories.

The last bit of action for the high school team in 2013 will come this weekend at the Anadarko Christmas Classic.
