Suspect says she smokes pot to stay off meth

CHICKASHA —

A female subject picked up by the Chickasha Police Department allegedly told an officer that she smoked marijuana in order to stay off of methamphetamine, according to an affidavit. 

The officer stopped Lacy Allen, who was walking down 12th and Frisco, which was dark and unlit. The officer said in the report that the area is know for burglaries and larcenies. 

The officer asked if he could speak to her. The officer said in a report that he immediately noticed she had dilated pupils and red, bloodshot eyes. He also noticed her eyelids were twitching. 

The officer asked Allen to close her eyes and tilt her head back slightly. The officer noticed she had eyelid tremors. He asked Allen if she had been around any marijuana that night. The subject said she had smoked some a little while ago in order to stay off methamphetamine. 

The officer determined that Allen was under the influence of intoxicants and arrested her for public drunk and transported her to the Grady County Jail.
