The man who allegedly struck two Grady County deputies while fleeing from Chickasha Police turned himself in yesterday.

Samuel Delk was taken into the custody at the Grady County Courthouse and formally charged with endangering others, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Delk led police officers on a car chase Aug. 23, exceeding speeds of 100 mph. During the chase, Delk threw a bag out of his vehicle, which upon recovery was found to have items used to smoke and inject methamphetamine and a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Delk managed to elude officers on foot, losing the police while running alongside a riverbank.

Delk bonded out of jail yesterday afternoon.
