Volunteers sought for CASA

— Everyday there are children being abused and neglected in Grady County.  CASA Voices for Children, Inc.  is seeking community volunteers to advocate for these children in the court system.  The local CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program is accepting applications for the next training class that will begin October 22, 2013.  Community volunteers must live in Grady County, be at least 21 years old, and be able to pass background checks through OSBI and American Background Check.  References must also be supplied and will be checked before potential volunteers can be included in the 30 hour training workshop.  CASA Voices for Children, Inc. is certified by the National and the State CASA Associations and uses the National CASA curriculum for all training sessions.  Applications can be obtained by calling 405-224-0404 or sending an email request to jan@casav4c.org or to the website at www.casav4c.org. Completed applications should be returned to the CASA office no later than October 12, 2013.  Now you can be a part of the solution by completing the CASA training and becoming a voice for the children of Grady County.
