A man was arrested after allegedly throwing a knife at a car carrying his sister, and her three children.

Chickasha Police Officer Chad King was dispatched to 9th Street and El Reno Avenue for a domestic abuse report. Upon his arrival, King spoke with Amy Heath who said her brother, Michael Heath, hit her son in the back of the head.

King said Amy told him Michael became irate after she confronted him about the incident.

"Amy was able to load her three children in the Car and shut the door. Amy said Michael hit the front passenger window many times and was screaming and cursing at her," King said. "Michael pulled out a knife and stabbed the front passenger window twice, where she was sitting. Amy's mother was in the driver seat and put the vehicle in gear. Michael kicked the rear passenger tender of the vehicle leaving a dent. Amy and her family were able to get safely to another location."

King said the vehicle had signs of damage consistent with Amy's story.

King found Michael at 1127 N. 9th Street and placed him under arrest.

"Michael told me he and his sister were arguing and he followed her out to the vehicle hit the window," said King. "Michael admitted to pulling out a knife and said he threw it at the window trying to cause damage or injury, because he was mad. Michael also admitted to kicking the vehicle."

Michael was booked into the Grady County Jail for Assault with a dangerous weapon.
