Bones found under bathtub at a house on 8th Street in Chickasha turned out to be those of a cow, Police Chief Eddie Adamson said.
"The owners were remodeling the house, and found what they thought looked like bones," he said. "They called us, we looked at it and they were definitely bones."
Adamson said CPD officers had a medical examiner investigate the remains.
"They said they were cow bones," said Adamson. "The house was built back in the '40s, and they probably slaughtered a cow, tossed its bones in a pit and built over it."
Adamson said CPD conducted no further investigation.
