Freedom's flag comes home to Chickasha

When Army Sgt. Daniel J. Martin came home from his second active duty tour with the Oklahoma National Guard in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, he brought a special reminder of that freedom to his bosses at Midwest Towers Inc.

That was the American flag flown over Combat Outpost Najil (Punisher Base) in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2011.

Specifically, the flag flew during Alpha Company's combat operations in the face of the enemy.

Martin has been employed in the Mill Department at Midwest Towers for 14 years.

He lives in Chickasha with his wife, Christy, and their 3-year-old son, Jackson.
