CHICKASHA —

A traffic stop resulted in a drug arrest after a police dog sniffed something a bit foul in the car.

Terry Meyers was arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday evening after Chickasha Police Officer Derek Hunt pulled a car he was in over for making an improper turn.

Hunt made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Roy Cook, while Grady County Deputy Roy Spratt ran his K9 unit around the car.

"Spratt informed me that his K9 alerted to the vehicle," said Hunt. "David Gatlan, a DA investigator, began a search of Myers. That search revealed two clear plastic bags containing green leafy substance on Myers' person. Gatlin informed me that he located the bags in Myers' front left pocket of his jacket. I placed Myers under arrest for Possession of marijuana and transported him to the Grady County Jail."

The green leafy substance tested positive for marijuana.
