OKLAHOMA FISHING REPORT

CHICKASHA — CENTRAL

• Hefner: Elevation below normal, water 80-85 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on topwater lures and jigs in shallow water early and later in deeper water on the eastside of the lake. White bass good on curly tail grubs, swimming minnows and lipless baits at 5-15 ft. off the dam and riprap areas. Striped bass hybrids fair trolling deep diving crankbaits at 10-20 ft. along drop-offs in the lake. Channel catfish fair on cut bait, shrimp and punch bait at 20-25 ft. off the dam. Blue catfish fair on cut bait at 20-30 ft. off the dam. Crappie slow on jigs at 15-25 ft. off the dam. Walleye good trolling deep diving crankbaits at 8-15 ft. off the points in the lake. Sunfish and bluegill fair on worms and small jigs at 2-6 ft. Report submitted by Lucky Lure Tackle.

NORTHEAST

• Birch: Elevation normal, water 88 and stained. Channel catfish good on chicken liver and doughbait. Crappie good on minnows and jigs around fishing docks. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Osage County.

• Copan: Elevation normal, water clear. Crappie fair on jigs at 8-12 ft. near structure in the flooded timber. Channel and blue catfish good on garlic chicken liver and cut shad below the dam and on juglines baited with cut shad and small sunfish. Report submitted by Joe Alexander, game warden stationed in Washington County.

• Eucha: Elevation 4 ft. below normal, water 79 and clear. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 10-12 ft. around brush and structure. Bluegill fair on crickets and worms around grass beds. Largemouth bass fair on topwater lures early morning and late evening. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.

• Ft. Gibson: Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 83 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits at 5-8 ft. around structure. White bass good on rooster tails and small crankbaits at 6-10 ft. along windy points. Catfish good on juglines and road and reel baited with cut bait and shad heads.  • Greenleaf: Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and bill baits along creek channels, shorelines and brush structure. Catfish good on fresh cut bait and stinkbait on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around fishing docks and brush structure. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

• Hudson: Elevation normal, water 78. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures early and late. White bass good on small rooster tails and small jigs. Channel catfish good on shrimp and stinkbait. Blue catfish good on cut bait. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes counties.

• Hulah: Elevation normal, water clear. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs in deeper water. Channel, flathead and clue catfish good on cut bait and worms below the dam. Report submitted by Joe Alexander, game warden stationed in Washington County.

• Kaw: Elevation normal, water 85 and stained. The lake has been dropped down for seeding of Japanese millet; extreme caution should be used when operating boats in the upper end of the lake. Even experienced boaters can become stranded on mudflats as they have drastically changed. Bear Creek and Trader's Bend boat ramps are inaccessible, Coon Creek boat ramp is only accessible with small/light boats and trolling motors or push poles should be used to get into the main lake. All other ramps are open and usable. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 15-25 ft. under Washunga Bay Bridge. White bass good on topwater lures, crankbaits, slabbing spoons and minnows around Sarge Creek Bridge and Washunga Bay Bridge. Blue catfish excellent on juglines with shad and drift fishing in the Arkansas River and Beaver Creek arms. Channel catfish excellent on stinkbait, worms and cut bait near rocky banks with quick drop-offs. White bass, striped bass and striped bass hybrids being caught on topwater, bucktails, streamers, sassy shad and drifting live bait below the dam. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on cut shad, carp, live bluegill, shad and goldfish below the dam.  Report submitted by Spencer Grace, game warden stationed in Kay County.

• Oologah: Elevation normal, water mid 70s and muddy north and murky south. White bass fair on crankbaits at 10-15 ft. trolling the flats near the main lake. Crappie fair at 15-20 ft. suspended around standing timber. Report submitted by Brek Henry, game warden stationed in Rogers County.

• Sooner: White bass and striped bass hybrids fair on live shad and slabs. Catfish fair on cut bait and live bait around points. Catfish fair on cut bait and live bait. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.

• Spavinaw: Elevation slightly below normal, water 82 and dingy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around the dam area. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.

• Webbers Falls: Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits along creek channels and riprap. Catfish good on fresh cut bait and stinkbait along mudflats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around bridges and brush structure. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.
