Rock Island Arts Festival Gala tickets deadline April 21

The Gala is Sat., April 28, from 7-10 pm in the USAO Ballroom.

Tickets are $25 and are available at Jay’s Jewelry and from CAAC Directors. Sponsorship tables are also available.

The deadline to purchase tickets for the Gala is Sat., April 21.

The Country String Band, featuring Janice Cockrum, Janet Howard and some of their students, will greet guests in the Ballroom lobby where they will be playing musical selections on dulcimers and banjos. Artisans, whose works will be highlighted in the lobby, include Jonathan Manning of Oasis Studio, Patrick MacNeill, Ila Watson, Jeff Periman, and Randy Getman of Red Feather Gallery.

Chickasha’s own Shane and Luke Harris will delight guests with their enjoyable music from 7:00 – 7:30 pm. Five dance groups featuring students of Claris Periman, instructor at April’s Dance Studio, will entertain guests from 7:30 – 8:00 pm. There will be three hip-hop and two lyrical groups performing.

DJ James Nance will keep things hopping with a variety of music for gala-goers as they socialize and bid on a large display number of silent auction items, generously donated by individuals and businesses. One of the auction items is a time-share in early June in Branson, MO!

Those who would like to donation things for the silent auction may leave them with Jeff at Details Family Hair Center, 207 S. 5th, Chickasha.

The 4th Annual Rock Island Arts Festival 2012 is Fri.-Sun., Sept. 28-30. The Festival will be ‘Celebrating a Journey Through the Arts … Setting the Stage for the Next 100 Years’.
