Tuttle police are investigating a suspect who allegedly used a church's charge account to fraudulently purchase more than $300 of groceries Jan. 15.
A police report states Megan Scott bought $315.44 of groceries from William's Discount Foods Jan. 14 at 8:58 p.m.
The duo told the cashier the purchase was to be charged on The Church of Christ's charge account and gave the employee a three-digit charge account number, according to the report.
Wendi Williams, of William's Discount Foods said she called the church the next morning, and spoke with a pastor who said the church did not authorize anyone to use their account.
The investigation is ongoing.
