OSU Director of Campus Life Kent Sampson to greet Grady County OSU freshmen


The Grady County Chapter of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association will host an Ice Cream Social and Senior Send-Off on tonight at 6 p.m. in Chickasha.  OSU Alumni, current OSU students and their families, prospective OSU students and their families, and friends of OSU are invited to this event which will be held at the Helen Ward Seminar Building #200, 1401 W. Michigan, at the Canadian Valley Technology Center, Chickasha.

The Grady County OSU Freshman entering Oklahoma State University this fall will be the honored guests as alumni and friends wish them well as the begin their bright orange future at OSU. 

The guest speaker will be Kent Sampson, Director of Campus Life at Oklahoma State University.  Sampson who manages over 500 student organizations at the OSU campus directly supervises the Office of International Students and Scholars, Leadership Development, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, Service-Learning Volunteer Center, Student Union Programming, Allied Arts and Special Events, and the Office of Parent and Family Relations.  Sampson also serves as the advisor to the Student Government Association and Camp Cowboy – a growing freshman orientation program in its 16th year. 

Sampson said, “My favorite task is annually teaching 25 new students in the freshman orientation class in the College of Arts and Sciences.”

Grady County OSU Freshmen will be eligible for door prizes and will have the opportunity to meet other Grady County OSU Freshmen who will be heading to Stillwater in August.  For more information, please contact Barbara Pfenning at 574-5405.
