Domestic dispute leads to alleged abuse at Family Video

Police are investigating a man who allegedly beat his girlfriend in front of the Chickasha Family Video Wednesday morning.

Chickasha Police Officer Leanthony Bell said he responded to a call of a fight in progress at the Family Video. Upon arrival he found Fredda Wilcox sitting in the passenger side of her vehicle crying, according to a report.

Wilcox said she had been in a fight with her boyfriend Jakiree Davis.

Wilcox said she and Davis went to the Verizon Wireless store so he could take care of his phone. Wilcox then attempted to break up with Davis, but Davis said Wilcox needed to take him to the store, so he could get money.

"Wilcox said that Davis started beating her up and that she tried to exit the vehicle," said Bell. "Wilcox advised that her door was open with her left leg on the outside and Davis leaned over her and continuously slammed the car door on her left foot while she tried to exit the vehicle."

Wilcox said David hit her and at one point choked her, according to the report.

"Wilcox stated that two gentleman came out of one of the stores pounding on the hood, asking her if she needed help," Bell said. "Wilcox stated that the gentleman pulled Davis out of the vehicle and he ran."

Bell said scratch marks that appeared to be fresh, were on Wilcox's neck.

Photos showed Wilcox had a red mark on her left index toe as well.

Bell said he was unable to locate Davis during his investigation.
