Woman accused of beating boyfriend with board

CHICKASHA —

A woman was arrested Tuesday night after she allegedly beat her boyfriend with a bit of wood.

Chickasha Police Lt. G.G. Music said he detained Melissa Hall for attacking Rodney Lee with a board.

Music said he found Lee walking several blocks away from the site of the alleged incident.

"Dispatch advised the reporting party said she had witnessed female beating a male with a stick or board, and try to drag the male into the house," Music said.

Lee corroborated the reporting party's story.

"He told me she hit him in the arm, back, chest and legs," Music said.

Lee had several fresh bleeding spots on his chest, legs, left wrist and a fresh red mark on his back, according to Music.

Lee said Hall threw the board into an alley by a bush.

Music located Hall at the residence where the incident was reported to have occurred.

"She told me the mark on his back came from them having sex earlier in the day," Music said. "She also told me that he had fallen and scraped his legs, and that he probably also scraped his chest and wrist in doing so."

Music said the mark on Lee's chest was horizontal, rather than vertical, and was therefore inconsistent with someone falling forward.

Hall tried to deflect several of Music's questions and was inconsistent with several of her answers, according to an incident report.

Hall was placed under arrest and booked into the Grady County Jail for domestic abuse.
