MINCO — The Grady County Sheriff deputies were part of a high-speed chase yesterday afternoon, ripping through a field two miles south of Minco to apprehend two suspects involved in stealing a Dodge pickup truck.

Undersheriff Rusty Pyle said the Grady County Sheriff’s office had received word from Blanchard police that there was a stolen vehicle going through Chickasha. The Blanchard police, due to the placement of a GPS within the vehicle, was able to track the stolen truck and relay location information.

“Deputy Loftice, myself and the sheriff went out to locate the truck,” Pyle said. “We, along with some troopers, located the truck going northbound on Highway 81.”

The vehicle, Pyle said, ran off the road into a field and crashed after the officers attempted to pull him over. The passenger of the vehicle was injured in the crash, arrested immediately and transported to Grady County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Grady County Deputy Corey Loftice located Jesse Fitch, the driver of the stolen vehicle, hiding beneath a tree in the field.

Fitch was booked in the county jail and being questioned in regards to another two vehicles that were stolen from the same residence that the Dodge pickup was stolen from.
