Man allegedly pointed gun at another man's head after receiving threatening mesages

CHICKASHA — A man allegedly pointed a handgun at another man's head Monday after receiving threatening text messages.

Chickasha Police Officer Joel Hendrix said Robby Frederick went to a house in the 1000 block of W. Dakota Ave. and came in through the back door uninvited, carrying a gun.

"Once inside, he began to threaten and hit the victim multiple times in the face and head," Hendrix said.

Witnesses reported Frederick pulled out the gun, which appeared to be real, pointed it at the victim's head and threatened him, according to an incident report.

Frederick admitted to coming to the house with the gun to threaten the victim and prevent more threatening text messages, Hendrix said.

Frederick also appeared to be drunk and admitted to drinking shots earlier, he said.

Frederick was arrested for public intoxication, assault and battery, use of a firearm while committing a felony, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and felony pointing of a firearm and taken to the Grady County Jail.
