City council candidates announced

CHICKASHA — Yesterday marked the last day to register for municipal elections in Grady County.

Last year Chickasha only had one contested race out of five possible, but this year two races will matter in the county seat on election night.

Ward One, Position One features a race between incumbent Mike Sutterfield and challenger Dewey Charles Mosshart.

Mosshart ran last year for a one-year term.

Ward Three, Position One matches incumbent Phylis Steelman against newcomer Michael J. Chambon.

All filings are now final. Municipal elections will take will place on March 5.
