Spencer's acquires Dunn's Food Center

CHICKASHA — Dunn's Food Store will be under new ownership starting next week and will open on Jan. 6 as Spencer's.

"We will keep pretty much the same hours, but we will be opening seven days a week in the future," Co-owner of Spencer's Jimmy Kemp said.

Spencer's is based out of Blanchard. The acquisition of Dunn's will be Spencer's second location.

Kemp said most items found at Dunn's will stay in stock.

"We should carry the same items they are right now," he said.

Dunn's Food Center opened 48 years ago.
