Liverpool Legends kick off 2008 concert season in Chickasha
One of Branson’s most popular shows returns to Chickasha, when Beatles tribute band Liverpool Legends takes the stage on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Chickasha High School Activity Center auditorium.
The concert features four men who look and sound amazingly like the original Fab Four. In fact they are so similar in their performance, they’ve earned the endorsement of Louise Harrison, sister of former Beatle George Harrison.
This will be the group’s second visit to Chickasha, having played here to an enthusiastic crowd this past January. In their two seasons in Branson, Liverpool Legends have been named “Best Band” and “Best Show” in 2006 and again in 2007.
The band’s show is a complete tribute to the Beatles, covering both the early years as well as the later years of the most popular group in rock-n-roll history. They act, sing, and play just like the Beatles, complete with authentic costumes and instruments.
Reserved seat tickets for the Liverpool Legends show are set to go on sale Monday, Nov. 12 at the OKMusicShow ticket office at 920 S. 4th in Chickasha, next to Subway. Ticket hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are unable to buy tickets in person, you can order by phone at (405) 243-7252.
“This is another example of one of the best live shows in America coming to our town,” said promoter Bruce McGrew. “But the only way this type of thing can continue, is for the people of this area to support the shows.”
McGrew said ticket prices are very affordable, ranging $25 for “front and center” seats, to as little as $10. “As we always say, there’s not a bad seat in the house,” McGrew added. “But there are a limited number of seats in each price range, so it’s best if they reserve early. And yes, they do make great Christmas gifts.”
