Newcastle Chamber of Commerce
• What: Women’s Expo, presented by Community Hospital.
• When: Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Where: Newcastle Middle School, 601 East Fox Lane (1 mile east of Main Street)
• Details: $5 entry fee. Attendees will enjoy over 50 vendors, as well as panel discussions on health, going green, CPR and personal safety and financial matters. The Chamber’s Women’s Network will regale lunchtime crowds with a Fashion Show and end the day with a holiday decorating demonstration. Proceeds will benefit Jordan’s Crossing Women’s Shelter in Oklahoma City. The Women’s Expo will be held at The first 100 through the door will receive a free reusable tote bag courtesy of Wal-Mart. Bean & Cornbread Fundraiser

• Details: Gary Grissam was injured in an accident on Sept. 16. He broke his sixth vertebrae and is now paralyzed from the chest down. Proceeds from this event will help offset expenses incurred by the family. Additionally, the Gary Grissam Support Fund has been established at Arvest Bank in Chickasha to help offset the family's expenses.
