A local woman is making a desperate plea to anyone who may have witnessed her vehicle being broken into at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Sunday evening.

The woman was visiting her daughter at Davis Hall at approximately 9o’clock p.m.

She went inside for ten minutes and left her wallet in her car. She then came outside and headed to Wal-Mart but once she arrived at she realized her wallet was missing. After frantically looking at the Wal-Mart parking lot she decided to go back to U.S.A.O. to retrace her footsteps.

With the help of her daughter and friends they were able to find the missing wallet at the entrance of the oval parking area.

When they retrieved the wallet, two of her bank cards and more than $1,000 in cash were gone. The woman said, “I was on my way to get money orders to pay my bills, and now I don’t know what I am going to do.”

“I just hope someone out there possibly knows about it or that someone will come forward because it impacts me more than they can imagine,” added the victim.

A spokesman for the university said, “Our hearts go out to the victim in this situation and we will try to assist the local police department in anyway possible. We have an extremely safe campus and hope that we can help with this isolated incident.”

If any one has information about the break-in and theft, please contact the Chickasha Police Department or Grady County Crime Stoppers.
