Chickasha Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie/Auxiliary 4070 and 4070 Eagle Riders will host the seventh annual Jimbo Moddrell “Make Promises Happen” Rally on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21.
Festivities begin at 10a.m. both days at the Eagles Aerie home, located at 701 E. Hwy 19, Chickasha.
The two-day event will feature a motorcycle poker run, music, food and refreshments, as well a charity auction and a chance to win a Honda Shadow VLX.
The event is open to the public for a $15 per person registration fee with all proceeds benefiting the Make Promises Happen camp.
“The Make Promises Happen camp for handicapped children is located on 320 acres south of Guthrie Ok., and is dedicated to providing recreational activities , fishing, boating, swimming, and many other activities” said Garry Milam, Fraternal Order of Eagles #4070 President. All camp counselors are volunteers, providing one on one counseling.
The rally is held in honor of Jimbo Moddrell, a volunteer counselor for eight years who was killed in a car accident January 15, 2000.
F.O.E. Aerie and Auxiliary 4070 - home to more than 275 members - celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year. Chickasha Ok. F.O.E. #4070 members donate between $8,000 to $15,000 annually to the local community, library, Women’s Family Service Center, Senior Citizens Nutrition Centers, Special Young Adults and many more. In addition, the 4070 Eagle Riders has funded Santa’s Workshop, fallen riders and the Miller Ranch Independence Day fireworks display.
