CHICKASHA - The Grady County Commissioners had a full agenda at their regular meeting on Monday, May 12.

They began the meeting by approving several items. First to be approved was the support letter for ASCOG’s development activities; next was the approval of a contract between Western Plains Youth and Family Services, Beckham County Regional Detention Center and the Board of Grady County Commissioners. The approval is pending the E-filing verification statement which is required in all contracts as of July 1, 2008.

Also approved was a detention services agreement between ROCMND Area Youth Services, Inc. and the Board of Grady County Commissioners, which is also pending E- filing verification.

Next, the board voted to accept an application for a permit from DCP Midstream, LP to cross a county road or highway with a natural gas pipeline.

No action was taken on an application for permit by Perez Engineering.

The board then approved a maintenance agreement with Otis Elevator Company for the court house elevator maintenance, with approval pending E-filing verification.

Then, commissioners requested bids for several items, including six-month bids for commonly-used items for all districts, a new equipment trailer for District No. 3 and bids to sell scrap iron by the ton, also in District No. 3.

In addition, they requested bids to trade in two used truck tractors and purchase two new truck tractors for District No. 1.

Finally, the board voted to approve the modification to the encumbered contract between the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Board of the Grady County Commissioners, again with approval pending E-filing verification.
