Am-Po baseball hosts chili dinner

The Am-Po summer baseball league will be having a Chili Dinner on Sunday, Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pocasset Community Center on the east side of Hwy 81 in Pocasset. The cost is $6 per person and proceeds will go toward league uniforms, equipment needs and maintenance of the ball fields, including bleachers. For more information, call Kim Clift at 459-9915.



Coyotee Boys to play at Borden

Dennis Boyd, Joel Hatchett and the Coyotee Boys will be playing every Tuesday evening at the Borden Park Community Center, 200 N. 18th in Chickasha. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Come on out and dance and enjoy the music. There is a $5 cover charge.



Verden trophy

The Verden 4-H and FFA Trophy Auction will be Tuesday, Feb. 10 in the cafeteria. The meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. Shortly following the meal, auctioning off the sponsorship for the Verden Local Livestock Show will begin. RSVP to Mr. Boles at rmboles@msn.com or call 405-453-7194.

 

Arts Council

to meet Monday

The regular meeting of the Chickasha Area Arts Council will be tonight at 6:30 p.m., in the Community Room of the First National Bank, 3rd and Chickasha Ave. Enter on the north side. Magic Show to

benefit Drum Line

The Pride of Chickasha Band Drum Line and the Band Parents Association invite you to family magic show featuring Troy Scott on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. in the CHS Activity Center. The show promises to be fun for all ages. The Drum Line will perform prior to Scott taking the stage. Tickets are $10. Proceeds go to help fund the annual Drum Camp. Epworth Youth

The youth of Epworth United Methodist Church, 4th and Iowa, will be holding a Valentine’s Day Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 14 in the church Life Center. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling the church office at 224-3320. You and your sweetheart can enjoy a gourmet dinner and entertainment. Tips are appreciated with proceeds going to the youth summer mission trip. Deadline to buy tickets is Feb. 11. Transportation will be available for those who need it by calling the church office.



Silent Auction to be held Tuesday

Alex Elementary School is sponsoring a silent auction to be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, during Senior Night basketball games. The auction will begin at 6 p.m. and end at halftime of the boy’s basketball game. Items to bdd upon will be on display in the cafeteria lobby. Come shop for your Valentine and bid on delicious homemade sweets, personal items and home decor. All money raised will be used to help fund Student of the Month Trip to be held at the end of the school year.
