Short named new Executive Director

— Brenda Short of Blanchard has been named  the new Executive Director of the Women's Care Pregnancy Center in Chickasha.  Brenda is a native of Cyril, OK.  She served nine years as the Executive Director of the pregnancy center in Elk City, OK.  She and her husband, Michael, moved to the Blanchard area last year.

A new parenting curriculum has been implemented at the center in which the clients are able to earn baby beds, new car seats, diapers, and other baby items needed, as they learn how to care for their babies.  Other services offered free of charge include pregnancy tests, clothing, ultrasounds, and post abortive recovery.  The center is staffed by trained volunteers.

WCPC is a non-profit, faith based organization supported totally by donations.  The main fund raiser is a banquet held annually.  This year's event is scheduled for November1, 2012.  If interested please call the center at 405/222-5483.
