Chisholm Trail Republican Women

Voters, October 15th will be our last meeting of Chisholm Trail Republican Women before election.  Come & hear what these two candidates have to say.  Men & women are invited to all of our meetings. Guest speakers will be Chuck Utsler and Scott Biggs.  Both are candidates for the Okla. House of Representatives. Chuck is the Republican Candidate for House District #56.  Phil Richardson has been representative for this district & has chosen not to run again.  Scott Biggs is the Republican Candidate for House District #51. Both men are highly qualified for these positions and will be available to answer questions following their presentations.

 The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is at Canadian Valley Tech Center, 1401 Michigan, Chickasha.  Barbara Pfenning is president of the group.  If you choose to join, membership for women is $20 and for men, as an associate member, is $10.  We have a good group of men that attend our meetings.  If you have questions, please call Sandra Johnson at 405-204-6435.

 

All Day Music Fest, Oct. 13

There will be a FREE Bluegrass/Gospel/Country/Folk Music Fest at Borden Park Community Center at 200 N. 18th in Chickasha on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The doors will open at 9 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts. Admission is by donations to pay for the rent for the one-day event at the Community Center.

The Music Fest will be the second Saturday of every month.  The next Music Fest will be Saturday, November 10, 2012.  To schedule to play or for more information contact Jallane or Chet Link at (405) 224-6790 or (405) 222-6926.

OHCE CRAFT SHOW AND QUILT EXHIBIT

Plans are under way for the 2012 OHCE Celebration of Crafts Show and Quilt Exhibit.  This event is held yearly at the Grady County Fairgrounds and is hosted by the Grady County OHCE.  The show this year will be held on Nov. 16 and 17 in the north building at the fairground. Grady County OHCE  clubs and members have exclusive rights to any and all food items sold.  

Registration forms are available at the OSU Extension office at 828 W Choctaw, or at Quilts by Gail, 401 W Chickasha Ave, Suite 202.  You may also download one at oces.okstate.edu/grady.
