Fitzgeralds celebrate 50th anniversary

— Larry Joe  and Rebecca (Rowe) Fitzgerald were married in Chickasha on Sept. 22, 1962, at the Central Church of Christ.

Larry had graduated from Minco and was attending Central State and Becky was a senior at Pocasset, when they got acquainted while dragging Main in Minco and visiting at the Dairy Boy.  After they married, they made their home in Minco.  Larry worked with his dad, Joe, operating Fitzgerald Trucking—which is now run by his son, Joey.  Becky attended Oklahoma College for Women before marrying and worked at Production Credit until their first child was born.  She then worked at home raising their children and kept books for Fitzgerald Trucking.  Larry and Becky are now doing what they love—operating a cow/calf operation in Minco and attending their grandchildren’s activities.

Larry and Becky attend First United Methodist Church of Minco.

They celebrated their anniversary with a vacation to Turks & Caicos with their family this summer.  Larry and Becky have three children:  Melinda and Mike Morrison, Joey and Holly Fitzgerald, and Julie Fitzgerald—all of Minco.  They have five grandchildren:  Mason, Lindy and Max Morrison and Hank and Hannah Fitzgerald.
