Transformations, Oct. 30

— You are the master of your own destiny.  Believe it or not, you aren’t, nor have you ever been, tethered to someone who is pulling your puppet strings.  You are in charge of your own life. You dictate where you are going and where you will end up in this magical journey that we call life, it’s just as plain and simple as that.  So quit whining, complaining and moping around like someone should step in and rescue you from your misery. If you are having a bad day or living an uneventful and unhappy life, then by all means do something about it.

Multitudes of people have these complaints and if you are not one of them, you know someone that does.  “I am so out of shape and overweight that I feel terrible. I just don’t know what happened to me, it just snuck up and took over and now I am just too far gone.  No matter what I do, nothing is going to get rid of this fat.”  People, for whatever reason, want to go on hopelessly complaining about how overweight they are, how sick they feel, how tired and worn down they have become that they never stop and realize that they could be doing something about it.  I don’t want to sound uncaring, but if you truly feel this terrible, have become so self-conscious about your weight issues and are feeling tired, depressed and lack enough energy to enjoy day to day life, why not stop complaining, take action and do something about it?

The issue is that for the most part, people want others to solve their problems for them.  They lack the self motivation, self discipline and the inner drive to get off their butt and take action.  For some, they are just plain ole lazy.  Yes, your read that right, lazy with a capital “L”.  How did they get that way?  There are as many reasons for this as there are people, but the underlying ailment is that they lack the “want to make a change push” that other who are not like this have.

Children and even adult children want their parents to solve their problems for them.  The Country wants the President and Congress to solve their problems for them.  The list goes on and on.  What if you took action, yourself, and did one thing today to solve a personal issue that you are facing?  When you achieve this goal, you take on another and yet another until you get your life in order. This is how you make strides to turn things around in your own little life.

If we all did this collectively, we, as a people, would become stronger and more self sufficient.  We wouldn’t need or rely on someone else to solve our problems, but would feel the inner pride and satisfaction that we can do it ourselves. What happened to this kind of mentality?  When did it become alright for others to have to pick up the slack for anyone else who has the ability to do it for themselves?  I don’t know about you, but I am about ready for a change.

We are all in charge of our own lives and our own destiny.  No amount of griping and complaining is going to change this fact.  If you want a happier, more prosperous and fulfilling life, then get off your butt and go get it.  Don’t expect a handout from someone else and if you receive a hand up from someone, make dang sure that you return this favor a hundred times over. I want to live in a strong, fair, hardworking, honest and God fearing Country, not one corrupted with laziness, ignorance, self absorption and lacking in direction.  I am trying to change, are you?  I have no intention of offending anyone with this article; I just want you to stop and think about where you stand on this subject and what direction you are taking in your life.

To Your Success!
