Church welcomes new pastors

First Church of the Nazarene, located at 1300 S. 29th in Chickasha, has announced the installation of Wallace (Wally) and Sally Jo Boyd as full-time pastors.

Rev. Wally Boy, a University of Oklahoma graduate, recently completed his ministry preparedness program from the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colo. and will be ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene April 6 during the Southwest Oklahoma District Assembly. Rev. Sally Jo Boyd will serve in ministry with her husband as associate pastor. She, too, is a gradute of Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs with a Bachelors of Ministry degree with a major in Christian Eduction.  Sally Jo has served as a pastor since 2000 and was ordained Elder in 2004, The Boyds co-pastored the First Church of the Nazarene in Perryton, Texas from July 2007 to Nov. 2010.

Rev. Wally Boyd retired in March after 36 years in hospital administration, moving to Chickasha from Oklahoma City.
