CV Tech employees recognized for years of service

Assistant Superintendant Tiner honored for 35 years

— CHICKASHA – Employees from all three Canadian Valley Technology Center campuses gathered recently for the district’s annual joint in-service, held this year at the El Reno campus.

Service pins were given to employees who have been employed at CV Tech for one, five, ten, fifteen, twenty-five, thirty and thirty-five years.

Employees receiving pins for one year of service at the Chickasha campus included: Nikki Curran, Service Careers technical assistant; Clovis Henderson, bus driver; Kasey Duley, Practical Nursing instructor; Clint Weaver, Auto Service instructor; Robert Ragsdale, Auto Service technical assistant; and Diana West, Health Careers technical assistant.

Chickasha employees receiving pins for five years of service included: Misti Heston, Practical Nursing instructor; Janis Larsen, food service manager; Bryan Bramblett, security guard; Traci McNeff, Graphic Design instructor; Bette Henderson, KEYS tutor; and Sandra McKnight, KEYS tutor.

Child Care lead teacher Wendy Bowman received a pin for 10 years of service.

Three employees received pins for 15 years of service to CV Tech. They include: Walter Bailey, maintenance; Donita Marshal, clerical assistant; and Howard Donley, IT.

Tammy Casady, administrative assistant and Peggy Castleberry, special needs counselor, received pins for 25 years of service.

Dennis Crawford, Ag Business manager and George Tiner, assistant superintendant, received pins for 30 years and 35 years, respectively.

In addition to the service pin recognitions, CV Tech superintendent Dr. Greg Winters addressed the group speaking of goals for the upcoming year and the school’s unique successes over the past five years since he has been with CV Tech. He also praised the efforts of the staff in earning the district’s eighth “Gold Star” award, given recently at the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technical Education annual conference.
