The Middle and High school choir departments will be in concert Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Broadway tunes, classic pop, folk songs, spirituals and current pop hits are a part of the program. Students are exposed to as many genres as possible as part of choral music education.
This year, the Middle and High Schools will perform together for the first time in many years. Nearly 100 students from both schools will combine at Thursdays’ concert singing “Anthem” from the musical Chess. David Briscoe, director at both schools says, “I’m excited to have all the students together under the same roof performing together and for each other. Each of the five choirs are looking forward to showcasing their talent for friends and family.” Gena Conder is the accompanist.
The concert will be held at the High School Activities Center. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend. The students will again perform Dec. 9, at the High School Activities Center at 3 p.m.
