Plans were discussed for the annual Fall Festival that will be held in the Family Life Center from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12. Tickets are $7 for the meal and can be purchased from any UWM member.

Doris Williams, education missions coordinator, introduced the speaker for the program Deaconess Debbie Humphrey along with a volunteer, Jimmie Harris, both from Cookson Hills Center United Methodist Mission. The mission has been ministering to the Native American people in rural Oklahoma since 1948. On-going programs include a thrift store, food pantry, craft co-op, home repair and counseling.

The support of Cookson Hills is one of the many ways that Uniited Methodist Women can reach out to persons in need. A special thank you was given t0 Lois Cook for her work on the southern Oklahoma City district workshop scrapbook. Paula Gibson was thanked for the beautifully decorated tables.

UMC president, LaVerne, thanked the members for their contributions to the World Thanks Offering, as well as for the canned goods for the Food Pantry.
