Randy Dressler of Duncan and Robin and Joe Marcano of Marlow are happy to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Abigail Dressler of Duncan to Daniel Ballard of Rush Springs, the son of Clarence and Fay Ballard, also of Rush Springs.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gerald and Barbara Wheeler and Florence Dressler, all of Duncan. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Almeta Lindsey of Rush Springs, the late L.D. Lindsey and the late Louie and Catherine Ballard.

Abigail is a Duncan High School 2010 graduate. She is a full-time student pursuing a degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where she will graduate in May, 2014.  She is a member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society and the Marlow First Baptist Church. She teaches martial arts at Dressler's Academy in Duncan and also works at the Shoe Bazaar in Marlow.

Daniel is a 2004 Chickasha High School graduate. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2010 with a degree in biology. He is a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association and Marlow First Baptist Church. He is a mortgage loan originator at G.T. Mortgage in Duncan.

The couple has chosen Feb. 1, 2014 as the date they will marry in a double ring ceremony at Gospel Beams Church in Duncan. Dr. Joe Ligon will officiate the ceremony.
