Main Street Extravaganza to be held June14

Chickasha Community Theater and Chickasha Main Street are hosting the first annual Main Street Extravaganza Saturday, June 14, featuring the lighting of the Washita Theater.

Everyone is invited to come June 14 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. In addition to cash drawings and the lighting ceremony, there will be music, games and food for all to enjoy. There is no admission charge to the celebration.

Main Street members will be handing out tickets to customers through June 14. There will be five, $100 drawings in Main Street money that will be given away just prior to the lighting of the theater that day.

Among the other activities planned:

-- CCT will be presenting live music at the new city park at 6th and Chickasha.

-- In front of the theater there will be a dunk tank, concessions and other activities.

-- Inside the theater will be theatrical performances, music and tours of the building.
