There are only a few weeks left to register to vote for the upcoming November elections.
Eligible Grady County residents must register by Oct. 12 to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election and McClain/Grady EMS Special Election, Susan Turner, with the Grady County Election Board, said.
This deadline is for those who have never been registered or who are registered but want to change their registration information—such as name, address or political affiliation.
Applications received after the Oct. 12 deadline will still be accepted, however they will not be processed until after Nov. 6, 2018, Turner said.
The Grady County Election Board will respond in writing to each person who submits a voter registration with either a Voter Identification card or letter explaining why the registration was not approved. Turner said those who do not receive a reply within 30 days should contact the Grady County Election Board.
Oklahoma Voter Registration forms are available at the election board office at 307 W. Pennsylvania Ave. in Chickasha, at all post offices, public libraries and tag agencies in the county or online at www.elections.ok.gov.
