A truck with defective brake lights and turn signals may have been the cause of a collision in Minco according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
A pickup headed east on SH 152 in Minco attempted to turn into a private drive. The truck's rear brake lights and turn signal were defective and the third brake light was obstructed by hay bales in the back of the truck, according to OHP.
An SUV behind the pickup struck the pickup in the rear and both vehicles departed the roadway to the left, the report said.
The driver and passenger in the pickup were transported to Yukon Integris where they were treated and released with head injuries.
The driver of the SUV and two juvenile passengers were treated and released from OU Medical Center with trunk external injuries and an additional juvenile passenger was admitted in good condition with trunk external injuries, the report said.
The roadway was closed for over an hour after the collision. In addition to OHP, the Minco Fire Department and Tuttle EMS responded to the scene.
