CHICKASHA —

The residents at Chickasha Nursing Center enjoyed a day of family and feasting on Nov. 22 during their Thanksgiving party.

Families of the residents were invited to dine with their relatives at the nursing home and many came to the main dining hall, which was filled with festively decorated tables.

Since no one likes to gobble alone, Chickasha Nursing Center staff "adopted" residents to sit with during the meal.

"It's one big family here," Rita McCarthy said. "We want this to be home for them."

Kim Bowles, who joined Chickasha Nursing Center as the Administrator on Aug. 24, said that the whole staff got involved in the preparation.

The dietary staff cooked everything, even taking individual orders for the residents.

"I'm really proud of the whole staff for getting things ready," Bowles said.

Chickasha Nursing Center thanks Full Gospel Church and the First Church of Nazarene for providing tables and chairs for the event.
