Teenage victim receives multiple gunshot wounds in east side shooting

CHICKASHA — The Chickasha Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on July 31 at 10:22 p.m. in the 1500 block of Shepard Street.

An incident report from CPD states officers are investigating the use of a firearm with the intent to kill.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officers were advised that an 18-year-old male had sustained gunshot wounds and had been transported to the emergency room with non-life threatening injuries.

A release from CPD detailed witness accounts claiming several gunshots were fired and a small white car was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

Grady County sheriff's deputies are assisting in the investigation.
