Today I find myself a little confused by the actions of Democratic constituents and liberal journalists in our country.
President Obama has served in his second term for less than a week and yet it seems like all anyone can do is talk about Hilary Clinton and the 2016 election.
In the interest of full disclosure, I think it's important to note that I am a Hilary fan. Still, I find it ridiculous that seemingly every political analyst in the country is foaming at the mouth to talk about an election that is four years away. I could understand the important of discussing the midterm 2014 elections, but not the next presidential race.
We as a country are embarking a journey politically, socially and economically unlike any we have ever seen. The world's landscape in each of these areas continues to change. Looking at the first four years of Obama's presidency the world saw the fall of European economy, the start of a new wave of democracy, the rise of gun violence as a hot button political issue again and a sports world permeated by performance enhancing drugs outside of baseball.
Who knows what the next four years will bring and why these analysts and journalists don't spend more time attempting to predict that is beyond me.
All I know is, I am sick of hearing about whether Hilary will run in 2016.
