Fulton opens optometry practice

— A new name appeared on the optometry office at 4th and Chickasha Ave. recently. Dr. Robert Fulton, a graduate of Fletcher High School, has returned to the area with his family to practice optometry in downtown Chickasha.

Fulton EyeCare Center offers high quality vision care and eye health services and products under the direction of Dr. Fulton and his wife Holley who serves as the office manager for the new business.

Dr. Fulton said he was interested in optometry because he likes the idea of helping people and making people feel better about themselves, but he is also interested in the business aspect of optometry. He said he has wanted to own his own business for a long time.

Dr. Fulton graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cameron University before studying and receiving his Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University School of Optometry. During optometry school he received an award for researching UV light transmission through contact lenses.

The Chickasha Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will hold a ribbon cutting on Oct. 13 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Grand Opening reception. Everyone is invited to attend and meet Dr. Fulton, Holley and their staff.
