Monument Fundraiser

• Details: Donations will be accepted at the door for a Veterans Memorial Monument, to be located at 209 Main St. in Pocasset, across from Riley’s Short Stop on Hwy. 81.

Celebrating Chickasha’s

Heritage Luncheon

• When: Friday, June 27, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

• Where: Epworth Church Life Center, 320 S. 4th, Chickasha

• Cost: Adults $7; Children 5-12 $4, children under five free. Tickets available from any UMW member.

• Details: Meal will consist of grilled ham, potato salad, Round-Up baked beans, homemade desserts, tea & coffee. Proceeds go to the Epworth United Methodist Women’s Missions Projects.

Good Ol’ Boys performance

Oklahoma Self Defense Act Class

• When: June 28, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Contact: Tony Lawson 485 8062 or at

• Details: This class is required to obtain an Oklahoma Concealed/Open Carry Handgun License. Class is taught by a Pistol Instructor certified by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Class covers laws on use of deadly force, handgun safety and basic shooting fundamentals. Seats are limited so act fast. Classes for special groups can also be arranged by appointment.  Special discounts and free tuition to those who qualify.
